Somebody recently described filesharing as "civil disobedience in support of free speech”, and they're right. All the time we have copyright laws that make no sense in the internet age, we will have disobedience on a large scale. Making such laws even more stringent will only invite greater circumvention - an arms race the authorities cannot and do not deserve to win.

Give us laws that reflect reality and appeal to the average person's sense of fairness, or take the consequences.

We might as well forget it, by the looks of it.

We're presently being buried by the ACTA process, and an NWO-installed agenda. Not only are we in danger of losing our right to make our own copyright law, but our Constitution and Charter will be nothing but toilet paper, by the time our government finishes selling us out.

See Michael Geist's <a href="http://http://www.michaelgeist.ca/content/view/4510/125/" rel="nofollow">The ACTA Internet Chapter: Putting the Pieces Together</a>.
